What’s at Stake

Indiana is being targeted by trillion-dollar tech corporations looking for massive tax breaks, cheap land, and virtually unlimited access to our water and power — all while Hoosier families shoulder the rising costs. Without stronger protections, these mega–data centers will drain our grid, pave over farmland, and send the profits out of state. Our communities deserve investment, not extraction.

We stand firmly against wasteful corporate handouts and in favor of development that actually benefits Hoosiers. We support technology, innovation, and growth — but only when they respect our neighborhoods, our resources, and our wallets. Indiana’s future must be shaped by its people, not by corporate demands.

Our Plan Includes:

To protect Hoosier communities and keep energy affordable, we’re taking a stand against wasteful corporate giveaways disguised as “economic development.” Our approach puts neighborhoods first by insisting that technology companies respect our resources, pay their fair share, and contribute to a sustainable future. This is how we build development that strengthens Indiana instead of draining it.

  • Ending tax breaks and subsidies for mega–data centers that create few long-term jobs
  • Requiring full transparency on energy demand, water use, and infrastructure impacts
  • Mandating modern cooling systems and strong environmental standards
  • Prioritizing local hiring and union labor for construction and long-term operations
  • Making corporations pay for the grid upgrades and infrastructure they require
  • Limiting sprawling “concrete campus” developments that pave farmland and raise costs
  • Strengthening community oversight so neighborhoods—not corporations—shape development
